GOALS FOR WEEK 1
By the end of this week, you will:
  1. Understand the goals and requirements of this course.
  2. Get to know your classmates and your teacher and how to email them appropriately.
  3. Understand what textbooks, materials, and online systems you need to obtain for this class.
  4. Take a variety of diagnostic tests to make sure you are in the right level.
MONDAY

First day of classes:
-Review syllabus
-Welcome presentation
-Review website

-Journal guidelines
-Dictation diagnostic
-Human Treasure Hunt


HOMEWORK
-Complete "Tell Me about Yourself" sheet for tomorrow.
-Review syllabus to see if you have any questions and prepare for short syllabus quiz.
-Buy textbooks at bookstore
and set up online systems.

-Journal, due Friday (Open topic--suggested idea: "What I hope to accomplish this semester.")
