By the end of this week, you will:

1. Understand the goals and requirements of this course.
2. Get to know your classmates and your teacher.
3. Understand what textbooks, materials, and online systems you need to get for this class.
4. Take diagnostic tests to make sure you are in the right level.
5. Practice question formation, summarizing, and note-taking skills.
6. Review passive and introduce active and passive causatives.
7. Discuss good presentation skills and learn what you need to do for your first presentation.
