GOALS FOR WEEK 1
By the end of this week, you will:
  1. Understand the goals and requirements of this course.
  2. Get to know your classmates and your teacher.
  3. Understand what textbooks, materials, and online systems you need to get for this class.
  4. Understand the components of the Destination Mason program and how to get involved.
  5. Understand yourself better as a student.
  6. Take diagnostic tests to make sure you are in the right level.
MONDAY
-Welcome presentation
-Review syllabus
-Human treasure hunt
-Review website, including listening log.


HOMEWORK
-Review syllabus
-Buy textbook from bookstore
-Complete "Tell Me About Yourself" sheet
-Start to identify possible Destination Mason events to attend
-Start Listening Log, due Wednesday, 9/5


TUESDAY
NO OCS CLASS
WEDNESDAY
-Warm-up: Name Game
-Destination Mason assignment instructions
-Destination Mason presentation by Cassie Larson

Diagnostic listening tests (video and publisher test)


HOMEWORK
-Bring laptops to class on Friday
-Start Listening Log #1, due next Wednesday
-Take Destination Mason survey

-Buy textbook from bookstore

-Try to go to some Destination Mason events this weekend--don't forget to take your selfies if you go to prove you went!
