GOALS FOR WEEK 2
By the end of this week, you will:
  1. Learn about simple, compound, and complex sentences and how to recognize and fix fragments, run-ons, and comma splices.
  2. Review the components of a good essay.
  3. Review the writing process.
  4. Learn about classification essays and begin writing one.
  5. Review the present perfect tense and understand how to form and use the present perfect progressive.
  6. Practice active reading skills, including scanning for information.

-Reading Explorer Chapter 1

HOMEWORK
-Sentence structure homework. Do it until you get 100% and print it out so I can check it tomorrow and put it in the gradebook.
-Continue work on Reading Explorer Chapter 1 online homework.
-Journal 2 due Friday

-Study for quiz on sentence structure and problems.
-Continue work on Reading Explorer Chapter 1 online homework.
