1. Turn in your explanatory synthesis essay on Animal Farm.
2. Continue to review the use of imperatives in academic writing.
3. Continue to practice identifying collocations ("language chunks") while reading.
4. Review correct article usage.
5. Practice recognizing plagiarism.
6. Review and practice paraphrasing and summarizing techniques.
7. Learn how to narrow research topics and produce a research proposal. 
8. Discuss what makes a good research thesis statement.
9. Time your reading speed.
10. Learn academic vocabulary through our textbook.
